Very common question. And the short answer is No. The gel I use contains no harsh chemicals or preservatives which often lead to sensitivity. A very small percentage of people do experience sensitivity and that's due to dehydration during the whitening process. Any sensitivity is short term and should resolve within 24 to 48 hours. 

1. Eat something before your session. You cannot eat for 2 hours after your whitening. You can drink water though.

2. Do not brush or floss 6 hours BEFORE your treatment. This can open pores and create unwanted sensitivity. You may use mouthwash if you need to.

3. STAY HYDRATED!  With water before and after your appointment. 

4. You will want an all-white diet for the first 24 hours. Things like mashed potatoes, noodles with white sauce, bread,  chicken etc.

What a great question, and I wish I had a definite answer for you. Everyone's teeth are different. On average teeth whitening will last about 6 months. Depending if you smoke, drink coffee, red wines etc.  I do recommend drinking through a straw for darker beverages. In any event, a lighter shade will happen during your treatment,and that is the goal! 

Yes!!! Although the color of your existing crowns will not lighten themselves, they still can get stained over the years. Whitening can remove those stains and bring your dental work back  their original color when it was placed by your dentist. 

You can whiten up to 4 times a year. Most people will schedule a session every 6 months to maintain, but if you have an event its ok every 3 months. It doesn't damage your teeth either! Book with me again in 6 months and receive $10 off. Book every 3 months for a package deal for $520 and it's only $130 a session!!
